Post 521 Front entrance

Welcome to Peter G. Zouck VFW Post 521 in the State of Maryland.

The VFW mission is to”honor the dead by helping the living” through veterans’ service, community service, national security and a strong national defense.

As a post we do everything we can to provide an environment where our post members and families can enjoy the fellowship and comradery we enjoyed in the Armed Forces of our blessed country. We make it a priority to support our local active and retired military members and their families. Community outreach to veterans is our top priority and those relationships we build make us a better VFW post as well as community members.

Our post survives on the countless volunteer hours of our post members, auxiliaries and families who have added to our success. The word “volunteer” is defined as a person who freely offers to take part in an enterprise or undertake a task. If you want to help and be a part of a great team please don’t hesitate to jump in the ring.

If you are interested in becoming a member of our post please ask for a membership form. Unlike other congressionally chartered veterans organizations, in order to be a member of the VFW – one needs to be a US citizen, a current or former military service member and have been in combat, in a designated hostile fire zone, or have received a campaign medal.   Our post is not just about numbers. It’s about people coming together who love their country and respect those that have “Served”. Membership at our post is a privilege we’re thankful for every day.

We have experienced leaders at our post with vast backgrounds and a wealth of knowledge. We can accomplish anything with smart plans and plain old fashioned hard work. If you have an idea on how we can do things better please bring it up. I suggest you bring that idea up at our post business meeting which is the second Thursday of the month at 19:30. If you want changes implemented, bring it up. If you have a complaint, bring it up but we ask that you bring a solution to the table.

Lastly, we think honoring our veterans that have served before us, served after us, currently serving and those that have paid the ultimate sacrifice is our top priority. We enjoy the freedom they paved the way for. We always need to remember them. Our country is a better place because of the sacrifices of so many that believed in Freedom.

“IT’S NOT THE PRICE YOU PAID TO BE A MEMBER…. IT’S THE PRICE YOU PAID TO BE ELIGIBLE TO BE A MEMBER”

See you at the Post,
Yours in Comradeship,

Jerome Hudson Jr
